How We Ensure Durability & Safety in Every Dallas Pool Build
Durability and safety are built into every pool project we undertake. High-quality materials enhance the pool’s durability and our attention to detail and knowledge of Dallas-area pool regulations help make the pool safer. Our designer and superintendent supervise our pool construction projects.
Building a pool isn’t a race, and we take time to do the job correctly.
We finish each pool construction project with final inspections to check the pool for safety and code compliance.
Durability
The clay soil commonly found in the Dallas area is prone to expanding and contracting. We place steel rebar vertically and horizontally to create a grid that supports the pool’s shell and offers protection from the shifting Dallas soil.
Blocks are placed under the steel rebar to help prevent it from sinking into the soil. According to an article published on nature.com, Dallas, Texas, has an average land subsidence (sinking) rate of 4mm a year.
We subcontract companies to inject the soil with environmentally friendly ionic clay soil stabilizers. This helps prevent the soil beneath the pool from moving.
Safety
We know and follow the regulations for commercial and residential pools. While no pool can be completely safe, by following regulations, pools can be made safer.
The Swimming Pool Timeline: What to Expect from Start to Finish

Our in-ground pool construction process follows set procedures to complete the job correctly. Before we begin construction on your pool, we’ll discuss the construction schedule with you so you will know what to expect.
On average, it will take us between 10 and 12 weeks to build a pool. A smaller pool may only take between eight and ten weeks, and a larger one can take over ten weeks.
Before we begin work on your pool, we will take a soil sample to determine potential ground movement.
The following is a timeline of the steps we follow when creating your pool.
Pre-Site Evaluation and Planning
A pre-site evaluation allows us to see your property in person and gain a better understanding of it. This step involves the construction project manager, architect, and homeowners. Here, we’ll be able to see the shape and size of your yard and how your future pool will fit into it. We’ll also learn about any accessibility issues and possible obstacles.
Unless your pool is particularly complex, this stage should only take one or two days.
Excavation & Foundation
In this stage, excavation work will be carried out to create the pool’s foundation. Heavy equipment will need access to the location for this stage.
This stage may take about one to two days. However, how long this stage takes depends on factors such as the size of the pool and if the weather impedes work.
Steel Frame, Plumbing, & Electrical Work
After the pool’s foundation is complete, the pool’s steel frame will be installed. The pool’s plumbing and wiring for the pool’s electrical systems will be added.
This process generally takes about one to two weeks.
Shell Installation
The pool is beginning to take shape. We spray the shotcrete shell over the rebar and sculpt it to the needed shape. This process creates a durable structure.
After the shell has been added, it will need to cure. Curing typically takes seven days.
The length of this stage can vary based on the type of material being used, but generally takes about one to two weeks.
Tile, Coping, and Finishing Touches
The tile and coping are added, and, if needed, decking is installed next.
Features like swim-up bars, LED lighting, and waterfalls are installed during this phase.
This stage can take around one to three weeks.
Final Inspections & Pool Startup
Before the project is complete, your pool will need to be inspected for safety and code compliance. With our knowledge of Dallas-area pool codes and building regulations, we can ensure your pool complies with all applicable codes, whether it is commercial or residential.
Following the inspections, pool systems, including heaters, filters, and pumps, will be tested and adjusted. When the water chemicals have been balanced, your pool will be ready.
This process may take about a week.
